Bridgeport Bluefish Baseball Camps are exciting opportunities to learn from your favorite Bluefish players and coaches and are sure to be a highlight of your summer. It's an unforgettable, unbelievable chance to learn from the pros and play ball on the field at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

Bridgeport Bluefish summer camps are a great way for kids of all ages to have fun and improve their baseball skills. Camps will cover all aspects of the game including hitting, throwing, fielding, base running and more! Each camp is open to all children between the ages of five and 13. Campers are grouped by age and ability, with all instruction done by current Bluefish players and coaches who will share their own unique expertise and knowledge for a one-of-a-kind camp experience. All camps sessions include three days of excitement and each camper will receive a t-shirt, hat, daily lunch with the players and a ticket to a Bluefish game.

The first clinic session will begin on Monday, June 28 and runs through Wednesday, June 30. Session two will run from Monday, July 19, to Tuesday, July 20 and will end on Thursday, July 22. The third and final clinic session will start on Tuesday, August 3, resume on Thursday, August 5 and conclude on Friday, August 6. Each camp day runs from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

The Filmmakers Ink summer filmmaking day camps offer a University film program experience in a camp setting. Kids Kayaking Kamp

Kayaking is safe and easy aboard sit-on-top kayaks and the river location is beautiful, diverse, and sheltered - perfect for developing kayaking skills. Weaving in and out of pilings, under bridges, around buoys, children learn the skills playing water games that increase balance, coordination, and confidence. Once they've got the skills we go further and visit local islands for treasure hunts, comb beaches for shells, make our own maritime environments, fish, swim and enjoy the wildlife. Beach cleanups add a strong environmental element and help us raise marine stewards. Rain or shine, exciting field trips and water related activities.

Children 8 years +, no experience is necessary and all equipment is provided. Mornings 10-12 ($257/wk)

Our Pottery/Ceramic Art Summer Camp programs are designed to provide children and teens with the experience of an actual professional pottery studio. During each weekly program, the students will learn to use the potters wheel, learn handbuilding/sculpturing techniques and glaze all of their projects that they will accomplish during the program. The projects are fun and creative and will be taught by our accomplished artist/teachers. No prior ceramics experience is required. Sessions begin June 21.

Litchfield Jazz Camp

Litchfield Jazz Camp, now in its fourteenth summer, is held on the gorgeous campus of Kent School in Kent, Connecticut. The camp is focused on musical and personal growth, while fostering a creative, inspirational and relaxed atmosphere -- it's serious fun. Learn in combos with players at your own level, regardless of age. Featured in TIME, DownBeat, JazzTimes and on CNN, the camp "transforms students into the best versions of themselves, preparing them not only to be wonderful musicians, but confident people in all aspects of their lives." - Dave Brubeck. Study for as little as one week or as long as a month with players who are just as enthusiastic about jazz as you are.

LJC is under the artistic direction of the gifted saxophonist/composer/educator Don Braden. Student ages 13 to adult learn from a world renowned faculty of touring and recording jazz artists. Among them for 2010 are trombonist Vincent Gardner (JALC Orchestra), vocalist Sheila Jordan, drummer Matt Wilson, bassist Avery Sharpe, baritone saxophonist Claire Daly, guitarist Dave Stryker, pianist Junior Mance, trumpeter Claudio Roditi and many more. Classes are offered in performance, improvisation, jazz history, rhythm and percussion, music theory, the business of music, composition and more. All students perform at the Litchfield Jazz Festival on a stage dedicated to LJC students, and take master classes from festival stars. Sessions run July 11 - August 6, 2010.

Entering its 49th season, the Long Ridge Camp directed by Herm, Myrna and Geoff Alswanger continues to provide summer fun to generations of children ages 3-13.

Set on 14.5 acres in Connecticut's beautiful countryside, located minutes from the Merritt Parkway, children experience a traditional day camp setting with 3 outdoor (heated) pools, ballfields, game courts, playgrounds, nature trails, group rooms and a fabulous air-conditioned Arts & Athletics Center.

This camp will be held July 19-23, 2010, on the Westside Campus of WestConn. This camp is open for all Middle School students.
